Titanic Special Event - WNE 472 kHz, HeritageStations

Subject: [Radio Officers] Titanic Special Event - WNE 472 kHz,
Heritage Stations and Experimenters

Heritage station WNE will make every attempt to be on for the event. Will
monitor 500 Kcs as usual and use our working frequency for some kind of
commemorative message if I can come up with one in time. If anyone has a
suggestion please pass it along.

Also listen to the Experimenters down around 500 kHz for special
transmissions.

Gentlemen:

NEXT WEEKEND April 14 - 15, the WD2XSH stations are
planning a special event to mark the 100th anniversary of
the sinking of the Titanic. Activities will include

- Calling on 500 kHz then QSY, with observance of
silent periods.

- Beacons with special messages.

- General activity.

- WF9XIH may make a special transmission.

The operating bands are 495 - 510 kHz and 465 - 478 kHz.

We are hoping that some of the heritage stations
(WNE, KPH) will be on the air as well.
